Huahai's shipyard is located in Panzhi Island, Dinghai District, Zhoushan, Zhejiang, China's shipbuilding industry gathering city.The shipyard is uniquely located with a suitable climate, good shelter from wind and waves, open waters with a depth of over 30 metres, no freezing periods throughout the year and a shoreline of approximately 2,800 metres. The surrounding industries are well equipped for efficient processing of special projects, and a large international airport and container terminal are nearby, providing convenient and fast logistics services.

The shipyard covers an area of approximately 170,000 square metres and has a 90,000-ton dry dock (245m x 43m) and a 30,000-ton dry dock (181m x 31m) each, and a 50m and 150m loading dock each, with a water depth of approximately 202m. The shipyard is equipped with a 400-ton gantry crane, a 60-ton and a 40-ton gantry crane, a 50-ton truck crane, 20 aerial work trucks, 8 forklifts of various types and 12 air compressors. There is a 15,000 sqm hull and pipeline workshop and a 2,500 sqm electromechanical workshop in the yard, which can cater for prefabrication work in the steel structure and pipeline workshop, as well as cleaning and maintenance of electromechanical equipment such as motors and coolers in the workshop.

With more than 350 employees, the shipyard is mainly engaged in the repair and conversion of various types of vessels such as bulk carriers, container ships, oil tankers and chemical tankers, reefer vessels and offshore vessels, with an annual repair capacity of more than 120 vessels.
